Welcome to Peru!
Arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima.
Transfer to your hotel in the Miraflores district for check-in.
Enjoy a relaxing evening to rest and adjust to the time difference. You may take a leisurely walk along the Miraflores seaside promenade to enjoy the Pacific sunset.

Day 2:
Lima city tour
In the morning, visit Lima’s historic center, Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral of Lima, and the San Francisco Convent.
In the afternoon, stroll through the bohemian art district of Barranco, then return to Miraflores along the scenic coastal cliffs.
Prepare your personal gear for tomorrow’s full-day excursion to Paracas and Huacachina.

Day 3:
Paracas & Huacachina Full-Day Excursion — Return to Lima
Depart early morning by private transport to Paracas.
Upon arrival, take a speedboat tour to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and seabirds, with a distant view of the “Candelabra” geoglyph etched into the dunes.
In the afternoon, continue to the Huacachina Oasis near Ica to experience dune buggy rides and sandboarding.
This is a long day (approx. 12–15 hours including transfers); please travel light and bring sun protection and plenty of water.
Return to hotel in Lima in the evening.

Day 4:
Lima → Arequipa (Altitude 2335+-)
Transfer to the airport and take a domestic flight from Lima to Arequipa (approx. 1.5 hrs).
Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.
Arequipa sits at a moderate altitude (approx. 2,300 m), making it an ideal place to begin acclimatising gradually before entering higher-altitude regions. Enjoy free time to relax at leisure.

Arequipa free day (Altitude 2335+-)
Free day to explore Arequipa at leisure.

Day 6:
Arequipa: Ruta del Sillar + City highlights (Altitude 4500+-)
In the morning, take a half-day tour along the Ruta del Sillar, visiting the Añashuayco quarry and Culebrillas canyon to learn about local volcanic sillar stone and its traditional carving process (approx. 3–4 hours).
Afternoon city tour including the Santa Catalina Monastery, Plaza de Armas, and panoramic viewpoints.

Day 7:
Arequipa → Puno (Altitude 4500+-)
After check-out, depart around noon or early afternoon on a comfortable long-distance bus (such as Cruz del Sur or similar) to Puno. Enjoy the scenic landscapes of the Andean highlands during the 6-hour journey. Upon arrival,
check in and rest.

Day 8:
Lake Titicaca: Uros & Taquile islands (Altitude 3830+-)
Full-day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca, visiting the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island to experience the local culture and traditional weaving crafts.
Includes transfers from the Puno hotel.
Tonight, stay at a Lake Titicaca homestay to experience local island life (simple facilities).
※ Large luggage can be stored at your Puno hotel; bring only a small overnight bag with essentials.
※ The next day, you will return to the same hotel and reclaim your stored luggage.

Day 9:
Return to Puno (Altitude 3830+-)
Return to Puno in the early morning. Afternoon at leisure to visit local markets, relax, or join optional short excursions.

Day 10:
Puno → Cusco (Altitude 3400+-)
Depart early from Puno (meeting at Terminal Terrestre Puno around 6:30am).
Travel by luxury coach along the Ruta del Sol, making stops at:

**Raqchi archaeological complex
**Andahuaylillas (the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes”)
Onboard, a buffet lunch (Andean style) is provided en route.

Day 11:
Cusco historic centre & acclimatisation (Altitude 3400+-)
Light walking tour of Cusco’s historic centre: Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), Cathedral, San Blas art district.
This day focuses on gentle activity to aid high-altitude acclimatisation.

Day 12:
Rainbow Mountain Full-Day Excursion (Early Departure) (Altitude 4600-5036+-)
Early morning departure from Cusco (around 4:30am). Enjoy breakfast en route, then begin the hike from 4,650 m up to approx. 5,020 m at the summit of Rainbow Mountain with panoramic views.
Optional: hire a horse if you prefer not to walk / to reduce altitude fatigue (extra entrance fee).
Optional: after reaching the summit, you may also visit the nearby Red Valley on foot (extra entrance fee).
After buffet lunch, return to Cusco in the late afternoon.

Sacred Valley (Pisac & Ollantaytambo) (Altitude 3000+-)

Day 14:
Humantay Lake (Hiker / Non-Hiker options) (Altitude 4200+-)
Early morning departure to the trailhead.
Both Hiker & Non-Hiker: Travel together and visit Humantay Lake.
– Non-Hiker may choose horseback ride to the viewpoint (extra cost) instead of hiking.
– After visiting the lake, Non-Hikers return to Cusco.
Hikers: Continue trekking towards Salkantay Pampa campsite for overnight.

Day 15:
Cusco Free Day – Non-Hikers (Hikers Continue Trek)

Hikers: Early morning start with coca tea and mountain views. Trek 2 hours uphill to the highest point of the Salkantay Trek (4,630 m), enjoy the scenery and nearby lake, then descend 3 hours to Wayracmachay for lunch.
After lunch, continue downhill for 3 hours into the cloud forest, experiencing a dramatic change in landscape and climate, and camp near Collpapampa village.
Non-hiker: Free day in Cusco or join an optional half-day excursion (e.g., in-depth visit to Maras & Moray).

Day 16:
Cusco → Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town)

Hiker: After breakfast, follow scenic trails along the river, passing bridges, waterfalls, and plantations until Lucmabamba (2,000m) for a traditional Pachamanca underground barbecue lunch and coffee farm experience.
Then, hike 3 hours uphill on the Inca Trail to Llaqtapata (2,750m) for a first distant view of Machu Picchu. Overnight at a campsite facing Machu Picchu, where you may enjoy sunrise and sunset (weather permitting).
Non-Hiker: Afternoon train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Village), check in to hotel and enjoy free time.

Day 17:
Aguas Calientes (Reunion Day) (Altitude 2000+-)
Hiker: Wake up with views of Machu Picchu. After breakfast, hike 2 hrs downhill to Hydroelectric Station for a farewell brunch with the trekking team, then continue a 3-hr walk along the railway via Mandor Botanical Gardens to
Aguas Calientes.
Non-Hiker: Free day to explore Machu Picchu village: relaxing hot springs, local market. Evening group dinner/reunion between hikers and non-hikers.

Days 18-19: Rejoined Itinerary
Day 18:
Machu Picchu Guided Tour → Return to Cusco (Altitude 2430+-)
Early morning bus to the Machu Picchu citadel for a guided tour of the main archaeological highlights. Depending on time and weather, you may also visit the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) or the Inca Bridge.
After the visit, return to Cusco via train and bus, arriving in the evening.

Day 19:
Cusco → Lima → Homebound (Altitude 3400+-)
Transfer to Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima, connecting to your international flight home.
