Day 1
Arrival in Havana (-/-/-)
After a long-haul flight, arrive in the heart of the Caribbean — Havana. The guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the city for hotel check-in. Take the rest of the day to freshen up, adjust to the time difference and climate, and ease yourself into Cuba’s slower rhythm.
Evening is free for you to explore the charm of Havana’s nightlife at your own pace.
As this is a flight day, the specific arrangement will be adjusted according to the arrival time.
Overnight in Havana.
Day 2
Havana City Tour (B/L/-)
A three-hour ride in a vintage convertible is the best way to get to know the city. Cruise slowly along the famous Malecón seaside boulevard in a classic 1950s open-top car, with the Atlantic breeze in your hair and the weathered façades of old buildings passing by.
Stop at Fusterlandia, a mosaic-filled art community bursting with Caribbean colors, creativity, and passion.
In the afternoon, take a walking tour through Old Havana’s four iconic square, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, and more. Along the way, discover antique stalls, vibrant graffiti, and elderly locals basking in the sun, all weaving together the city’s unique rhythm.
Overnight in Havana.
Day 3
Havana (B/L/-)
Following in Hemingway’s footsteps in Havana begins in the suburbs at Finca Vigía, his former home and now a museum, where The Old Man and the Sea was written.
From the study and personal library to the typewriter and fishing trophies, everything remains as it was when he left.
Back in the city, stop at Hotel Ambos Mundos, where the opening chapter of For Whom the Bell Tolls took shape. Continue to his two favorite bars: La Bodeguita del Medio and La Floridita, to enjoy a Mojito and a Daiquiri.
The day ends at the Havana Club Rum Museum, discovering how the island turns sugarcane into world-famous rum, with a tasting to let Cuba’s warmth linger on the palate.
Overnight in Havana.
Day 4
Havana – Viñales Valley – Havana (B/L/-)
Leave the city behind for the rural landscapes of Viñales Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in western Cuba known for its unique karst formations and laid-back charm, often called Cuba’s “back garden.”
Visit a local tobacco farm, following the journey of a Cuban cigar from freshly picked leaves to drying sheds, and finally the artful hand-rolling process. Here, craftsmanship is everything, no frills, just skill and respect for tradition.
Continue to the Viñales Valley viewpoint, where fields stretch out beneath the round-topped Mogotes hills. Explore the Cueva del Indio by boat along an underground river, with stalactites glimmering in the dim light. End the excursion at the colorful Mural de la Prehistoria, a massive artwork painted across a cliffside telling tales of prehistoric life. Return to Havana by evening.
Overnight in Havana.
Day 5
Havana – Zapata Peninsula – Cienfuegos – Trinidad (B/L/D)
Depart Havana in the morning and head south to the Zapata Peninsula, a lesser-known wetland reserve. En route, stop at Playa Larga, once the historical site of the Cold War’s Bay of Pigs invasion, now a hidden paradise for snorkelingenthusiasts. Choose to dive into the Caribbean Sea’s vibrant underwater world or simply lounge beneath swaying palms with a cocktail in hand.
In the afternoon, arrive in Cienfuegos and follow the scenic Malecón waterfront, where colorful colonial villas meet the deep blue sea. Stroll through José Martí Square, the Governor’s Palace, the Cathedral, and the famed Terry Theatre, catching glimpses of the French-inspired elegance that defines this small city.
After a short stop, continue to Trinidad.
Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 6
Trinidad (B/L/D)
This UNESCO World Heritage town preserves the colonial charm of the 18th and 19th centuries. Wandering its winding cobblestone streets feels like stepping back in time. In the morning, visit Plaza Mayor, the Tower of the Rebels, the Cathedral, and the Romantic Museum—once the lavish residence of a wealthy merchant family, complete with ornate courtyards, marble floors, and decorative frescoes.
Pause for a taste of Trinidad’s signature cocktail, the Canchánchara, a sweet yet punchy mix of honey and local spirits. After lunch, enjoy a free afternoon: browse handicraft stalls in the old town or relax on a sun lounger by the beach, letting the Caribbean waves roll in again and again.
Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 7
Trinidad – Santa Clara – Varadero (B/L/D)
Set out for Santa Clara, a city forever linked to revolutionary hero Che Guevara. In 1958, Guevara and his guerrilla forces halted an armored government train here, a decisive victory that sealed the fate of the Cuban Revolution. Visit the Armored Train Monument, as well as the Che Guevara Mausoleum and Museum, paying tribute to this legendary figure.
In the afternoon, continue north to Varadero, one of Cuba’s most beloved beach destinations. From tonight, settle in for two nights of slow island living.
Overnight in Varadero.
Day 8
Trinidad – Santa Clara – Varadero (B/L/D)
A full day in your dream island getaway. No alarms, no schedules, just powdery white sand, swaying palms, and endless turquoise waters.
The resort’s all-inclusive service offers everything from breakfast and snacks to cocktails and dinner. For a bit of action, try water sports like canoeing or windsurfing, and play in the Caribbean waves. Prefer to take it slow? Stretch out on a beach lounger under the shade of palms, lose yourself in a book, or sip a refreshing Mojito by the pool. In the evening, join in the vibrant resort shows, dance a little salsa or samba, and share in the simple joys of Cuban life.
Overnight in Varadero.
Day 9
Varadero – Havana (B/L/-)
Wake up naturally and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, taking one last look at the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. After lunch, drive back to Havana, trading the coastline for the buzz of the city.
